Email address is required to send me shipping notifications, and iTunes receipts. A Physical address and phone number is required to ship me their hardware I buy and verify which country's App Store I can shop in.
FT needs my address for what, now? I'm not subscribing to the print edition.
With that line of thinking...
Apple needs my information for what, now? I bought my Apple hardware at Best Buy. I only use free apps.

I find some pages are designed to be too wide or and some too narrow. If I can control the width of the pages and the fileds, it would be good if it remeber those settings for that page and site.

There's been reports of battery issues to. I haven't tested it myself, but it seems like I'm getting less battery life since 4.3.1, which is what many others have been saying. I don't know how widespread this isssue is, though.
I would say my battery life is worse as well, and I would not see why this would not be affecting everyone running 4.3.1. So I am looking forward to the update.

Also, if the updated website is any indication, I'd bet the Apple schema will be 3-tiered:
[I]1. All users-free 3Gb cloud storage with 150MB/file and adverts.
2. $50/yr-25GB, 150MB/file, NO advertisements.
3. $100/yr-100GB, no limits on filesize, no ads.
I thought Apple folks found choice confusing? ;)

I'm feeling a little unloved at the moment.
Apple Computers are now Apple Inc.??
Phones? TV?
Where is the core support for the loyal computer spuds.
I know Leopard is on its way, but the keynote sounded a bit like Jobs has got himself some new Phoney and TVey friends now and doesn't really think we need some nice shiny new trinkets.
Totally understand the iPhone impact and the fact that its a new benchmark, but I really hope they don't lose sight of the core business, ie ME and and my 'puter

Don't be daft, Samsung are the suppliers because they gave the best price.
Samsung will also be locked into supply contracts anyway, and they interfered with them, Samsung would be in a world of hurt, not just from Apple and litigation, but every other company they supply.
And don't you believe there aren't alternatives for Apples component supplies either - every company that can build something that Samsung already does has been on the phone this week to Apple.
The end result in all of this is that Samsung are putting at risk an $8bn turnover for copying a customers phone design.
Even if Samsung win any of these suits, Samsung will lose the $8bn turnover, and will hand their component rivals the same amount.
The question at the end of the day is whether the Galaxy/Tab/S/S2 are really worth $8bn a year - which they aren't.
So who loses? Samsung every time.
Heres the clue - never sue your customer.
And you are just proving how little you understand the market in that area.
You forget that those parts Samsung supplies there is a SHORTAGE of them on the open market. Apple can not afford to loose Samsung because no one else has the production to replace them. It would cost Apple a lot more money to replace them. Samsung on the other had because of the shortage sell for a greater amount to other companies.
Apple may be a first tear buying in that area but they still are a minor player in terms of over all buyers. Samsung is a major player in that market.

It might get extra support on fiscal grounds, if moral fence-sitters on the issue find the financial arguments against capital punishment attractive in the current environment.

Occam's Razor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Occam%27s_Razor) does dictate that the explanation Apple has offered up is the most likely. Unlike what some other blogs have been claiming (:cough: Gizmodo :cough: ) it's unlikely that Apple meant to leave an unencrypted tracking database available on each phone.
Further, I examined a map of my iPhone's database and there were some unexplained blobs. Unexplained that is until I read Apple's description, and then it all fit. I flew through Atlanta 4 times in the past year, spending a total of a couple of hours there. My mapped blobs on Atlanta were much larger than the entire weeks I spent in Montana and Wyoming. The only way this makes sense is if the data is actually crowdsourced, which is exactly what Apple claims.
So I see little reason to disbelieve today's statements. (Unless you are inclined towards conspiracy theories, which an unfortunately high % of our population seem to be.)

Sometimes after disconnecting my firewire drive (where I save all my torrents) and restarting bittorrent it appears to that the torrents continue anyway but saving to volumes/firewire2 or volumes/firewire3.
I would like to get rid of these invisible volumes.

Who is going and what time are you getting there? I hear from mall security that doors will not open to the mall until 6am and that no lines will be allowed to form outside the mall before then :-/

Like it was said in other forms (and also by myself), it was blown hugely out of proportion, and a week from now, no one will even care about it anymore.
But then all we'll have left is antenna-gate. :(
