I sent the applications(I-140,I-485,I-131,I-765)to Nebraska center 3 weeks ago and it was received by them on December 17,2007(because I tracked the FedEx package).Until today,no receipts yet and my checks are not cashed yet and the receipting update says Current for Nebraska, is the normal or there is something wrong?

Hi,
I saw that my 485 status was updated twice.
FP done on - Oct 24, 485 LUD was 24 Oct.
Nov 3 - one more LUD on 485 app for me and spouse.
: BEC LC cleared on June 21, PD march 2001, I 140 + 485 filed on July 2 for me and spouse.
What do you make out of the two LUDs in less than 2 weeks ?.
My I 140 is still pending. (EB2 Category)

I understand that we will need to specify the date and duration in the applicaiton for AP to travel to INDIA. I am planning to go end of this year but not 100% sure and date is also not finalized.
I have following question:
1. If I mention some date in AP but could not travel around that date. Would that cause any problems?
2. What I stayed longer or shorter than specified peroid in AP? Will that cuase any issue when return to USA?
Please help me. Thank you.

I guess that should be OK. Only H1B rules require one to be continuously earning. On EAD, if you have a potential employer who is willing to hire you after your GC is approved, you can remain without regular paychecks.
I know of the guys, who actually availed unemployment benefits on EAD, and yet got their GCs. At least sitting without regular paychecks is better than that.

Hi,
Background filed H1 extension on Jan 2009 got approved Mar 2009, Got Approved I129 , Got the stamping H1B done in India. Online I129 status was still pending - Ignored that since I got the physical approval notice.
Feb 2009 changed Employer and started working on EAD, on June 3 the online status for I129 has been updated to Denied.
I am checking with my former employer to see if they withdrew my H1 (They typically don't withdraw H1).
I have not filed AC21 with my new employer.
Questions :
1. I have heard of online status still being in pending status even though its been approved. Have anyone heard of its getting denied ?. What are the implications ?.
2. There was a soft touch on my 485 on April 28. and i have not filed for AC21. Should i file AC21 ?

They don't verify anything. They ask you to fill in a form I don't remember the form number. I remember they were asking your full name, SSN, Address in US, Country of citizenship, place of birth, your father's and mother's first name.

I have an approved 140 and i am not considering pursuing a full time college program.

HI,
I have an H1b approval notice but as it clear the duration of the visa validity starts in October, today being 27 june and three months away from start of visa duration can i travel to India next month ( july) and be back in August as i am still on OPT and working full time in America now. I have got an oppointment with a consulate in India. Once i have got a stamp on my passport will i be permitted to enter back immediately or only in october, i need to make decision to travel now or later as if i am allowed back immediately it will affect my work.

My wife came to USA on H4 visa in January 2004. Later when she got a job, she changed that to H1B in September 2004. Since we do not yet have the EAD or green card, her company is now filing the Perm labor certifcation, to make sure that she gets the 7th year extension of H1B. The rule is that you should file the labor before the 6th year starts.
My question is when does her 5th year ends. Was it on January 2009 based on her arrival in USA or is it on Sepetember 2009 sincw her H1B visa started only on Septemeber 2004?

Today's news that Indiana Democratic Senator Evan Bayh will be retiring is probably bad news for much of the Democrat's legislative agenda. But when it comes to immigration, this is probably a good news day. Bayh's last vote on comprehensive immigration reform was a bad one. He voted with anti-immigration Senators to filibuster the 2007 version of comprehensive immigration reform and there is little reason to believe his vote in 2010 would be different. My I-485 case has been transferred from Texas center to Nebraska and notice says it's for faster processing. My priority date is Nov 2003, EB3 category, indian national. I didn't expect they would be looking at my case now. Why would they transfer it? has anyone received any such notice?

I am an Indian citizen and a Permanent Resident of Canada. My Fiance is a US Citizen and we're planning to settle down soon. I also have a valid 10 year US B1/B2 Visa.
I know that if one marries a US Citizen you can get US Green Card but I am not sure about the processes. I want to know what is the best procedure so that I can be in the US quickly and also have my green card.
I know there is something known as Fiance visa but I'm not sure how it works.
Can anyone please elaborate and guide me into this situation.
